Month of Love Giveaway: Sons of the Revolution series by Shana Galen

Submitted by on February 7, 2012 – 4:00 am20 Comments

Today, we are givingaway the first two books in Shana Galen’s The Sons of the Revolution series to ONE lucky US/Canada reader! All you have to do is leave us a comment and tell us: What do you look for in a romance?

Twelve years after fleeing their burning chateau, Julien Harcourt, Duc de Valère, searches for his lost twin brothers. His frequent travels between England and France at a time when the exiled Napoleon is reported to be marshalling his troops raises the suspicions of English authorities who set secret operative Sarah Smith on his trail. A risky game of cat and mouse leads the two from the ballrooms of London to the prisons of Paris and into a fragile love that neither dares to hope for.

The first in a trilogy of three brothers struggling to reconnect and restore their noble heritage in the aftermath of the French Revolution, each losing his heart along the way.

Twelve years in a French prison have left the once dashing Armand Harcourt, Comte de Valère a hollow shell of his former self. Though safely back on English soil, Armand remains locked in a prison of his mind, unable to interact with the glittering social world that was his rightful place. When his family hires the beautiful and determined Felicity Bennett to teach Armand, he is shaken by the onslaught of desire Felicity awakens in him. As Felicity slowly helps reclaim Armand, their passion begins to blossom into a transcendent love capable of healing the scars of both their pasts.

I look for strong characters in a romance. I don’t have to like them in the beginning but I need to believe them. Well rounded characters that interest me can salvage a mediocre or predictable story. It goes without saying that I expect a HEA every time.

I like an Alpha male… even better if he is a tortured Alpha. The love interest is usually not quite as strong, yet still a strong woman. I like to see fire between them and then a fierce devotion/love.

OOOOH. Fantastic giveaway! This author is on my “I wish I could win the lottery so I can buy all her books” list.

in a romance, I look for good, believable chemistry between the couple and a well paced, engaging premise. I love witty, sarcastic banter and a good supporting cast. I don’t care if it’s historical, PN or sci fi, as long as it’s engaging and well written, I could read about a shape shifting turtle :)

    Happy Tuesday!

I love romances, whether historical, PNR, contemporary. As long as it is well written, with interesting characters and a good story, preferably with some humor, witty banter, and maybe some suspense/mystery. And they have to have a HEA or HFN ending.

I look for an interesting situation, a tall manly hero, a heroine with strength & compassion, quirky supporting characters, and the biggest requirement – an HEA!

I love a great romance with mystery and suspense. The Hero and Heroine fight their feeling for each other and must learn to trust each other with not only their lives but their hearts. I also love the story to have humor between the hero and heroine. Their ability to laugh at themselves makes us love them more.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter giveaway.

I like the flirtation when characters are just getting to know each other, as they find out whether they are compatible or not! That’s the sweet part, before the hot part starts!!

What do I look for in a romance? The chemistry between the characters. The action and suspense and danger. The denial of the attraction and playing hard to get. And finally the happy ending. Please enter me in contest.

I look for a fun heroine who is not an idiot and quite capable of taking care of herself. She falls for the hero because he’s someone worth falling in love with – not because she’s helpless to his sexual charms.

I look for intrigue first then passion and mystery. It makes the story that much better.

I look for characters I can care about and a good story with some real chemistry between the characters. I don’t like the one where one of them is a complete jerk and the other is suppose to make them all nice just because they’ve met.
