Special trailer reveal of MONUMENT 14 by Emmy Laybourne + ARC GIVEAWAY

Submitted by on April 27, 2012 – 9:03 am25 Comments

Last Week we posted our review of actress/comedian/writer, Emmy Laybourne’s debut young-adult novel, MONUMENT 14. We are excited to have the opportunity to share the brand new book trailer with you today.

The really cool thing about this trailer is that it incorporates some unique elements from the actual book. The text in the trailer is actually a poem that a character (Dean) writes, while the song used in the trailer is one that another character (Sahalia) sings. The song was recorded specially for the book by Ava Anderson who you can learn more about on her website at http://www.avaanderson.com/ .

Emmy Laybourne, is currently working on getting the song placed on her own website so that everyone can listen to it: http://emmylaybourne.com/ . For now though, check out the trailer and listen for yourself!

The wonderful people at Macmillan have graciously offered a galley of MONUMENT 14 to giveaway to one very lucky reader! To enter please leave a comment below. Winner will be announced on Sunday, May 6th in our “Week in Review”.

Day is a dreamer who has never met a stranger. She is fearless and will talk to anyone and read anything! She taught music and dance and was a singer/actress for years, performing on stages both nationally and overseas. Now married with children, she spends less time singing on stage and more time writing songs at home. But, family life has not completely slowed this chick down. She still loves an adventure and learning new things. She resides in Texas with her family, Great Dane (Sophie), Labradoodles (George & Cosmo) and Chihuahua (Juan Carlos).
