From a distinctly female perspective, lovers committed and otherwise explore the many ways oral sex can be an act of love, tenderness, and devotion, or a pure and unabashed sexual act. Readers will revel in the emotion and sensuality of this collection of stories, written by some of today’s top erotica writers with the aim of creating full arousal.

Having recently read Rachel Kramer Bussel’s Sex and Candy: Sugar Erotica and Spanked: Red Cheeked Erotica, I decided to continue forth with my journey into the world of erotica with another of her anthologies—Tasting Him: Oral Sex Stories.

One might question how a book that pertains to only oral sex can be interesting. I myself had doubts when I purchased this book. However, you never know until you try it. This book is not only about women pleasuring men orally. There are also women and men pleasuring other women through the utilization of phantom phalluses and men pleasuring other men. This book contains a wide variety of scenarios and characters that are sure to make your mouth water.

Tasting Him: Oral Sex Stories tells the tales of oral sex encounters that are pleasing not only to the reader and the recipient in each encounter, but also the joy experienced by the character who is telling their tale of steamy succulent sucking. Through each story, readers discover how oral sex can offer an array of emotions, from tenderness to unabashed passion and from devotion to the one-night stand. Told by some of the most popular voices in erotica writing today, Tasting Him aims to please your literary palate.

As I have stated in previous anthology reviews, Stephen King once said that short story anthologies were like grab bags, sometimes you get fantastic stories and sometimes you get duds. Tasting Him: Oral Sex Stories is a fun and scintillating erotica anthology that keeps you reading story after story with anticipation. Of course, some stories are more titillating and arousing than others, but overall this was a splendid anthology.

Each story and author brings something different to this anthology, and each have the ability make your toes curl and keep you wanting more. With a variety of scenarios and roles, this anthology has something for everyone and proves that you don’t need to have a masculine member to enjoy that art and eroticism of fellatio.

This is a book that I literally could not put down and stayed up past my bed time to finish. I read it in two sittings. This anthology not only tells that tales of passionate encounters, it also gives the reader fun and inventive ideas to try out with their partners. My personal favorites in this anthology include Down on the Beach by Alessia Brio, Getting Used to It by Tenille Brown, Prego by Alison Tyler, Equanimity Unbound by Craig J. Sorenson, Frosted by Kristina Wright, and After Dinner Mint by Donna George Storey. This anthology is spectacular. With heat levels that range from mild to wild Tasting Him: Oral Sex Stories has something for everyone. However, if you have an aversion to foul language and graphic depictions of sexual acts this book may not be for you. But just like the character in Scarlett French’s story, Fellatio: A Love Story, you never know if you’ll enjoy it unless you give it a try.

Chrissy fell in love with books at an early age. It all started with Judi Barrett’s Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. At the tender age of five she decided that she wanted to be a writer. Later, she graduated to books like A Wrinkle in Time, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and the Goosebumps series, participating avidly in her school’s Book It program. High school brought on new challenges and loves. She began writing for the school’s newspaper and literary magazine. The works of Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, and Shirley Jackson quickly overran her bookshelves. But when Chrissy was introduced to the world of Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance, a grand love affair was set in motion. She is an avid reader of romance, urban fantasy, horror, erotica, and cozy mysteries. After working for the city library for six years and being surrounded by the works of greatly admired authors, she decided to devote her life to writing full time and hasn’t looked back since. When she is not devouring book after book, Chrissy loves to cook, bake, volunteer at the local animal shelter, and feed her addiction for horror movies. She lives in Maryland with her family and beloved pets.
