Purchase: | Book DepositoryThe new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate percentage of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance between her and the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.
Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs—and wants—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.
I absolutely agree on the title, because these characters are walking disasters. We all know people like them who do everything to excess—couples who are perfect for each other because they’re so dysfunctional—a train wreck waiting to happen. Well, that’s Abby and Travis. It was great fun watching them collide then waiting for the terrible fallout, especially since I didn’t have to get personally involved.
Coming from a troubled background, Abby looks forward to a better future courtesy of a good education. She refuses to get involved with anyone who might drag her down the way her father did, and that’s exactly what she thinks Travis will do.
Travis (Mad Dog) Maddox is working on a degree in criminal justice paid for largely by illegal fighting. A horrible womanizer, he’s stunned when Abby refuses to be another notch on his bedpost. Then he realizes that any relationship he might have with her will be because she loves him for himself not because of his reputation. That’s enough to keep him hot on her tail.
I honestly couldn’t put the book down. I simply had to see what awful situation was going to take place next. When I finished it, I felt like I’d been to a weeklong frat party and needed to dry out. Heck, I think I may have suffered liver damage from all the alcohol consumed. This is the most fun I’ve had in quite a while.

Great review, I think this sounds like a great read and like something I would love. Can’t wait to read this
All the reviews that I have read on “Beautiful Disaster” are awesome. I have really been wanting to read it. It has been on my to read list forever. Thank you so much for another great review!
I totally love this book! It’s one of the first “New Adult” books that I’ve read, so it was different for me. I’m bascially a New Adult, so I fell in love immediately with the genre. And Beautiful Disaster is amazing! I love the flawd characters of Travis, Abby, America, and Shepley. I know I’d probably be more goody-two-shoes thean they are in college life, but it was a great book to explore that as well. A wonderful read :) Thanks for the review!
Nice review about the characters. Sounds like a good book.
Great review! I was totally the same–I couldn’t put the book down! I was completely glued to it! Beautiful Disaster was a total whirlwind of emotions and I ADORED it!!! :D
This sounds like one of those books that I am going to start and not want to put down till the very last page. Then regret starting before I had the second book in my hand!
