Meet Miranda, experienced time traveler, sexual adventurer, and do-gooder. Making friends and finding lovers comes easy, while interfering is her specialty. Confident, impetuous, she treasures new experiences; life is for learning and the joy is in the journey.
Beaches, Pirates, Magic and adventure, that’s what you’ll find in A CARIBBEAN SPELL by Maureen Betita. With its beautiful Caribbean backdrop this book is the perfect book for spring and summer.
Miranda is a time traveler. She is a most interesting witch with many surprises up her sleeve. I enjoyed learning about her as the book unfolds. She is smart, very good with people as well as a knife or two. Miranda is so intriguing in part because we are in her thoughts. She is masterful with other’s emotions and how to bring about peace in a situation. We wouldn’t have a witch without some magic now would we? I’m often drawn to books with magic these days and Miranda was no exception. Her affinity with water and her ability to heal were quite intriguing and I enjoyed learning more about her abilities slowly as the book unfurls.
A CARIBBEAN SPELL has a backdrop of characters for you to fall in love with. We have two love birds whom Miranda befriends in her new home of Port Royal. Joanna becomes very close to Miranda and it is through her husband that the adventures for all begin. With the help of a lovely cast of secondary characters there is always something to warm your heart and make you laugh.
Pirates, now a pirate can be thrilling and Reynard is no exception. He is feared throughout the land but we get to see his softer side with his friends and as his attraction with Miranda grows. Not all pirates are as they seem and there is definitely more to this one than meets the eye.
Speaking of pirates this wouldn’t be nearly as interesting without a female pirate who is an evil witch as well. She is so frightening and powerful you will find yourself shaking and anxiously awaiting to see what she has in store for Miranda and her friends.
Pirates, love, magic, and the Caribbean; what more could you ask for?
Got this one on my TBR list!
