Moning Maniacs Challenge
[And Contest!]

All the Dolls here at Paperback Dolls are fans of Karen Marie Moning. We’ve been wanting to do a challenge for a wile and what better way to do it than with an author we all absolutely love? Most people may not know this, but Karen’s world from the Fever series actually starts in her first series, Highlander. It’s where we’re introduced to Queen of the Tuatha dé Danaan and her Unseelie King. Adam Black, all the MacKelter men, and her rich world. So if you haven’t read Karen Marie Moning before, then this will be the perfect challenge for you. If you have read up to a certain point in one or both series, but would like to re-read and catch up, then join now!

I was thinking of signing up, and maybe I still will, but although I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Fever series and I was not a fan of the Highlander series. I read the first one and really had to struggle through. Just too much romance and not enough of the magical and paranormal type stuff. I'll think on it though. Maybe I need to just try again. We'll see…

You know Candace, the first is my least favorite too. The first time I read it, I had to really struggle through it. It's alright if you can't finish it. Just give us reasons to why you couldn't and move on to To Tame a Highlander. Grimm's story doesn't have the fae aspect either, but it is a great story. Though, it'll be book 3, The Highlander's Touch, that is the beginning of why you love the Fever series so much. You won't be sorry that you gave it a second chance. :)
