The back-and-forth pull of competition, the clever feint that lets your opponent think he’s got the upper hand, the thrill of risking everything on a sudden, bold gambit, the visceral charge of raking in a pile of chips, and then, of course, there’s something to be said for cheating… From light-hearted party games to devilishly simple competitions, here are stories for readers who love to play.
After having read D is for Dress-Up by Alison Tyler, I found that I’d become captivated by the Erotic Alphabet series, growing more and more curious about what each letter of the alphabet would represent.
As you can tell, I am not reading the series in order. That’s the beauty of this particular series; readers can pick and choose which books to read in any order that suits their liking. After thoroughly enjoying D is for Dress-Up, I decide to take on G is for Games. Being an avid fan of board games, I had a feeling that this anthology would be right up my alley.
From the author of Afternoon Delight and Tiffany Twist comes G is for Games, the seventh installment in Alison Tyler’s Erotic Alphabet series. Whether it’s a simple wager or a complicated game of chess, G is for Games offers a bold look into the arousing art of gaming as foreplay. Told by some of the most popular voices in erotica writing today, G is for Games keeps you guessing what the next move will be.
This book was a very enjoyable read. Each game offered something suspenseful and sexy. Each writer offered a fresh and fun writing style. Each story offered a tease and triumph. The characters were very likable, the settings captivating, and the flow of the stories were ideal.
From a competitive game of Twister to a bet on a Yankees vs. Red Sox game, and from a professional chess duel to a game of dress up in an adult movie theater, G is for Games ranges from light-hearted to hardcore and has something for everyone.
My personal favorite stories in this anthology include Unfinished Business by Brooke Stern, Who’s on Top by Emerald, Nine Ball, Corner Pocket by Michelle Houston, and Seven Minutes in Heaven by Kristina Wright.
If you have an aversion to strong language and graphic depictions of sexual acts this book may not be for you. If you are searching for a salacious story compilation that you can read in no time flat, then this book is most definitely for you. But be forewarned: once you start reading this series you will quickly become addicted and find yourself purchasing the entire lot from A-Z.
