Purchase: | Book DepositoryWhat could be sexier or more seductive than bare, sun-warmed skin? Bestselling erotica author Alison Tyler gathers explicit stories of summer sex bursting with the sweet eroticism of swimsuits, sprinklers, and ripe strawberries. Raise your temperature with Matthew I. Jackson’s “Spectators,” in which a couple taking lunch on their veranda are serenaded by an unknown woman’s cries of passion. Get steamy with Tom Piccirilli’s palm-dampening “Double-Click to Enter,” the story of a work-at-home writer who confirms his suspicions about what his blonde neighbor does with her web cam. And Simone Harlowe’s “Bikini” brings a flush to your face with its tale of a businesswoman who nervously shops for swimwear and finds a tall, insistent stranger at her dressing room door. The very definition of hot erotica, Heat Wave calls for an icy drink, fresh towels, and a fan in an open window.
There is something about warm weather than acts as an aphrodisiac. Perhaps it’s the need to wear less clothing and the sight of a beautiful body parading around on the beach. Maybe it’s that bead of sweat the slowly rolls down the well chiseled body of a lover that drives you insane with lust. But I think we can all agree that heat refers to more than just temperature.
With this in mind, I decided to check out an anthology by one of my favorite erotica authors—Alison Tyler. In her book Heat Wave: hot, hot, hot erotica, readers are introduced to characters and scenarios that revolve around the sweltering summer surroundings. Upon beginning this anthology, I secretly hoped that this book would be a five-alarm blaze of passion.
When the temperatures rise the clothes fall. From the author of Alison’s Wonderland and Down and Dirty comes Heat Wave: hot, hot, hot erotica. Filled with images of summer (everything from sprinklers to strawberries) Heat Wave will get your temperature rising in no time. Told by some of the most popular voices in erotica writing today, Heat Wave is bound to make you break a sweat.
I truly enjoyed this anthology. While some stories were steamier than others, I found that there were heat levels for all readers. If you are looking for a scorcher, then this is the novel for you. The stories are as unique and versatile as the voices that tell them. The characters and scenarios are easy to relate to. And the sizzling sex scenes are exactly what one would expect in an anthology that is meant to exude the very essence of heat.
My personal favorite stories in this anthology include Sex on the Rocks by Stephen Albrow, The Yacht by Sage Vivant, Boil or Bake by Sommer Marsden, and Spectators by Matthew I. Jackson. If you have an aversion to strong language and graphic depictions of sexual acts, I do not recommend this anthology for you. But if you are searching for the perfect steamy read to accompany you through the dog days of summer, then this book is right up your alley.
OMG!!! So this sound like I MUST read it ASAP!
I totally agree about the warm weather being an aphrodisiac dude! Seriously!
Hi Bookish Brunette =) I’m really glad that you found my review helpful. This was a very hot (no pun intended) book. I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I did.
