My dream perfect reading place would on a flower-covered balcony in Paris overlooking the city. I would be in a comfy chair, starting in the morning with coffee, mimosas and croissants. Go for a stroll around the city mid-morning, come back and read some more in afternoon with my tea. Later I would sit on the balcony at night with just enough light to read and enjoy a fabulous glass of wine with bread and cheeses and continue to read my stack of books! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

My favorite place to read on is outside on my hammock. It is shaded and we have nothing but open field behind us so it is very private. Give me a glass of sweet tea, some dark chocolate and a great book and I could get lost out there all day it is so relaxing.

Anywhere that I can be under a tree, open space with a confy chair but still private. Or a gacebo too, again out in the field. As long as I can be alone without people and noises bothering me.

My absolute favorite place to read is on my bed. As much as I would love to be able to read everywhere, I need a place that is free of distractions and cozy which is my room. I have a nice big window that overlooks my backyard which lets in lots of sunlight and I love the view of the mountains. Of course I’m often too absorbed in the book to take in the view but it’s a nice sight to rest my eyes. The window lets in sunlight without the heat so I can go long hours without burning up. My bedroom is where I do most of my reading and I love that nearby is my bookcase which houses all of my keepers.

    Happy reading everyone :)

Well, my favorite summer reading place is the same as my favorite winter one. Here’s just a smidge of background; I’m a grade-A klutz. I’ve managed to fall flat on my backside (feet flying out in front of me slapstick style) half a dozen times. This has ultimately resulted in physical therapy for the last three months. That’s what the doctor calls it. I call it heaven. Some patients have to use the treadmill, some suffer through planks. I, however, am forced to endure ultrasound, massage and finally, a moist heat pack. Blissful silence. Gee kids, sorry, must turn the cell phone off for an hour. Yep, an hour. A full hour with no interruptions, no whining kids (or husband), no yowling cat who wants to go outside just to slink around as slowly as possible, no dog begging to go out just so she can come back inside for a treat, no telemarketers and, especially, no guilt because I should be cleaning something instead. A full hour just to relax and read. Twice a week. Twice. Of course, this is when Eric is working with me. On the rare occasion that I work with Lori, I have to spend the time explaining, in detail, the world of Cat and Bones, the world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, and how the two compare. Then there was the time she grilled me on why I didn’t believe in vampires. She was serious. That same night, a new book club member asked me if I was a werewolf. She was serious too. So now I try to book Eric every time. Hours of peaceful reading topped off with some serious eye candy who removes the heat pack at the end. Yum.

I love reading in the back seat of the car while it’s parked in the garage. I keep it stocked with rugs & cushions & refreshments. Practically hiding in plain sight.

During the summer I love reading in the library. There it’s not too hot and there are not so many people around. :) Thank you for this giveaway! :D

My favorite place to read is in my bed. It is very relaxing and quiet and you can cover up. I like to read on the beach in a chair with an umbrella and just stretch out. Thanks for the awesome giveaway.

Well…. I’d have to say a luxury yacht moored off the the Caribbean coast which would be staffed with young, hawt guys eagerly awaiting their turn to wait on me hand and foot. If it’s in Real life, my recliner with a snoozy pup in my lab :)

Wow! These are some awesome ideas! Kathleen, I can see where your reading style is really cramped. LOL

And Mary! In the backseat?! I wouldn’t have thought of that!

My favorite place to read in the summer is under a shade tree, something I don’t do nearly often enough. I dream of having a large library with floor to ceiling bookshelves and a window seat perfect for reading in all year long.

My perfect summer reading spot… hmm that’s a hard one.

But my perfect place would be, sitting on a white net hammock swaying over a white, soft sandy beach. A cocktail in hand and the sun high in a clear blue sky. Simple but perfect in my eyes.

M favorite place to read is on this rock in the river. It’s sad because if the water is too high the rock is mostly covered and unavailable to sit on. However, when the water is the right level to wade out to and climb up the rock, it is the most amazing reading spot. You’ve got the sound of the water running to surround you and the sunshining down on you.

My fantasy fave reading place would be by a beautiful, and peaceful lagoon surrounded by merpeople (think Disney’s Little Mermaid). The sun is shining and a gentle breeze is blowing. It would be like reading by the pool but only way cooler! LOL! Thanks for this awesome giveaway!

Perfect summer reading place is a nice spot on the beach by the ocean where you can hear the waves rolling in. I think Hawaii sounds just right…now if I can just spend the whole summer there reading, that would be perfect! ;) Fabulous giveaways Dolls!

My perfect place for summer reading would be in a lounge chair in the shade, next to a pool near the ocean (cause I love to look at the ocean), where there is also a pool bar & grill so I can have snacks & drinks delivered right to my chaise, and there is a light breeze blowing to keep me cool. I have actually experienced this at a hotel in Aruba, but it’s been 10 years – I think I need to go back with a basket of books!

Thanks so much Dolls – Hope you all have a wonderful summer!
