Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion-dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?
He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful, and ambitious. She refuses to let anything-or anyone-derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, and his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

I wasn’t planning on reviewing this book. I got it as a free download from Amazon thanks to Elisabeth Naughton posting about it. I need to send Ms. Naughton a thank you note because I had a fantastic time reading Tangled. It is Emma Chase’s debut and wow the woman can write. I actually had a mini panic attack half way through the book. Why? Because I want to write like that. I want to make people feel like they are in the story. I want to them to get lost in my world. And this is exactly what Tangled did for me. But really got me was the truth in her words, it’s fiction sure, but Drew Evan lives and breathes trust me.

I kind of want to kick Drew Evans in the ass but at the same time I can’t help but to fall in love with him. He arrogant, sarcastic, brutally honest, and holy mother of God HOT. I laughed and more than once wanted to smack him in the back of the head but he won me over. There was no way Kate was going to resist him and really why would she want to? He thinks like a guy, he talks like a guy, but when it comes down to it he man’s up when it’s crunch time. It’s hot and sexy and all the good things we love about Alpha males.

Kate is a strong female lead and not at any point did she get lost in this story. She is loyal and loving and has a strong drive to succeed. She is sexy and according to Drew crazy hot but despite this there isn’t any catty jealousy for this character. You want to see her happy and you want Drew to make her happy.

The supporting cast in Tangled is fun and necessary. Ever read a book and you can’t for the life of you figure out why some asshat is the lead’s BF? Yeah that doesn’t happen here. Every moment is purposely spontaneous just like in real life the conversation flows and never once does anything feel forced down your throat. When every single thing comes crashing down around Drew? Totally saw it coming but not because the story is predictable but because it’s written so well you KNOW something like that was bound to happen! I mean come on, it’s Drew!

The dynamic chemistry between the two leads in Tangled is mesmerizing. This really isn’t a classic love story but the love and heat generated on the pages of Tangled left me wanting more. I can’t wait for the next book in this new series. And for the love that all is holy add this book to your TBR ASAP!

Lil is an avid reader who gave up TV so she could greedily read every book she could get her hands on. In the process she discovered a love for contemporary romance heavily laden with humor. Lil is formerly a True Blood blogger who discovered there is more to the world than her annoying love/hate one-sided relationship with the writers of TB. She credits JR Ward for pulling her from the two dimensional world of TV viewing.
